Workplace Smoking Policy
In response to changes in New York State law, recommendations from the Drug Education Committee and feedback from members of the College community, the College has adopted the following policy regarding smoking on campus:
- Smoking is not allowed inside any Residence Hall, including individual student rooms. Smoking will be allowed in the student apartment complexes if all the residents of a TH, TA, or SC, agree to allow smoking. Smoking will continue to be banned inside all other college facilities and vehicles.
- Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of all entrances to campus facilities, including the Retreat Patio and the College Center Circle.
- Smoking is not allowed inside Matthews Mug.
This policy applies equally to all employees, students, and visitors.
